Niall Horanโs debut solo album Flicker has arrived. The One Direction alum stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, October 20, to celebrate the drop and shared that while working on the album, he consulted with none other than Eagles idol Don Henley.
The Irish hunk explained that he worked on Flicker for about a year, but that he didnโt initially plan on curating a solo album.
โTo be honest, there was no real plan for me to do anything,โ Niall shared. โI was looking forward to doing nothing. But me being me, I got bored โฆ and ended up starting to just write.โ
The โSlow Handsโ singer explained that he wanted to make an album full of his influences and while thinking that he was โmissing something,โ he reached out to the Eagles legend for help.
โIโve become quite close to him โฆ itโs nonsense!โ Niall shared. โI went to my first Eagles concert when I was 4-years-old so to have a chat with him is just amazing. [Heโs like a dad to me].โ
The former 1D member added that heโd email Don snippets of songs for advice. โLike, with โSlow Hands,โ he was telling me what we could do with the riff,โ Niall shared.
