A divorced mom named Karen Beardsley turned her wedding ring into a sentimental gift for her daughter Devin ahead of her 21st birthday and it’s going viral for the message behind it.
Karen and her ex split 10 years ago and while their divorce didn’t have a negative effect on Devin, Karen told BuzzFeed News that she wanted to give her a special gift ahead of her 21st birthday.
Devin explained to the site that her mom took her wedding ring back to the jeweler and had it turned into a crossbar necklace for her.
“[My mom] said although her marriage to my dad didn’t work out, they both agreed I was the best thing to come from it," Devin shared. "It was really such a thoughtful gesture to think of passing something like that on to me.”

Devin had shared a photo of the necklace online for her friends to see and was shocked when it went viral.
Strangers started commenting, sending her tweets like: "Coming from divorced parents, this is the best thing I've ever seen. Turning something horrible into something so beautiful."
